As a big believer in hard work and good service, Valerie MacDougall has spent the majority of the past decade learning the real estate business and improving her ability to provide exemplary services to her clients.
Valerie began her career as a young woman having recently graduated from Memorial High School, working in accounting. She worked in various accounting jobs for many years preceding her foray into the real estate business.
For the seven years before she decided to take her broker's course and open VALMAC Realty Ltd., Valerie worked as both an office manager and a real estate agent simultaneously. Through this endeavour, she acquired a thorough understanding of the business and has built her brand of trust on that understanding.
Arguably more important than her experience is her belief in hard work and honesty. While this is a personal trait, its importance has been reiterated time and time again in the hundreds of deals throughout her career that she's seen through to their completion. She has found that the most successful deals are the ones in which agents work honestly and effectively; out of this observation came the VALMAC way mandate.

Hugh has lived in Coxheath for nearly 40 years. A retired teacher, Hugh taught school in the Cape Breton Victoria Regional School Board for 35 years, retiring in 2006. Hugh is a graduate of Nova Scotia Teachers College in Truro and has completed courses at CBU to complete requirements for a Teachers Certificate Class 8. As an educator, Hugh taught his students that respect and hard work are the keys to success. Hugh has brought this philosophy forward to his work as a real estate agent.
